Re: Doubleclick gets through?
You should (ABE is more reliable than ABO), but you're not required to delete the previous rules.Tom T. wrote:Question: So should I copy the same rule into ABE, substituting all other blacklisted sites from NS and AB lists?
Yes, it's redundant. However you can set ABE rules (and port them across multiple synchronized PCs) even when you can't modify your hosts file (i.e. if you've got no admin privileges).Tom T. wrote:Question: Doubleclick is also in my HOSTS file, so I can't go there even if I try. Does ABE add anything to this level of protection, or is this case redundant?

Re: Doubleclick gets through?
Is there an ABE for dummies type instructions anywhere? I have been asked a flood of questions already and would love to be able to just point them there to read it first and THEN come back if they still have a question. Ideas?

Giorgio has said elsewhere that he's working on full documentation, and then on a FAQ. Of course, we're all looking forward to it when he finds the time.GµårÐïåñ wrote:Is there an ABE for dummies type instructions anywhere? I meant something already written, wasn't pushing for him to post anything. I wouldn't a refresher for myself either.
