Hello,
since my last update to 1.1.8.6 (don't know which version I had before - was about one or two months for the last update) when I try to download with the integrated download manager I get a window with the destination path (one line text) and a "Search" button (or whatever because I have a translated version).
Before I got the "Search" window without pressing the button on this new window. Since I'm changing my destionation folder very often, I wanted to know if there is an option to skip the small window (and get direct the same window as when I download with "Save target as...")
Greetings from germany
Floon

You think it's Firefox? Well could be. I tried "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file", some other settings and the "reset toolbars and controls" from the link. I also reinstalled FlashGot (after cleaning about:config). No, everything is as before.
Here is a picture with the "new" small window titled FlashGot:
And this was the window before updating all:

Other thoughts ...
Check FlashGot Options | Advanced -> Temporary Directory. Location & permissions thereof.
As a test, create a new, clean Profile & see if the situation repeats itself.

Re: Search destination with IDM
Nope. On a new profile/user with root/admin permissions and a complete new FlashGot installation (it was here never installed before here), there is a similar issue. The first time of trying to downlad a file I got the desired window but then the small window came too with the selected path from the one before.
I think I live with this and wait for some updates (Firefox or whatever), maybe it will fix itself. Thanks so far.
