My wife kindly switched off my computer last night, half way through a rather enormous file download. I have:
file.zip
file.zip.part
Is it possible to resume the download using Flashgot?

FlashGot itself is NOT a downloader in the sense that its involved in the actual download of bits but rather prepares the download links. What actual downloader are you using?
Most downloaders, IF the server supports resume, will be able to simply resume by opening their panel and asking it to resume. For example DownThemAll, just open the manager window and click on resume, if its the built-in Fx downloader, then Tools->Downloads and then click on resume. Other tools have their own too but ultimately comes down to whether or not the server supports resume.
