Hey, an interesting bit of news:

flashgot CAN download a youTube video if it is embedded on some other webpage (such as this: http://www.joemonster.org/filmy/23883/J ... ce_pytanie don;t mind the video, i picked a random one), but when you try to open it ona YT weppage(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egVDIlpA-Ag), flashgot fails.
I'm using FlashGet 1.9.1073, I'm getting constant errors:

Edit: I confirmed it, I placed a YT video on my own blog, now I can dowlnoad it. How strange is that? YT seemed to changed its site yesterday. Talk about April Fools day...

Another edit, not sure if helpful; before the crash all the downloaded videos had ".flv" ending, like "videoplayback.flv". Now this extension disappears.

I was also having problems with YouTube + FlashGot 1.2.1.21 + Firefox 3.6.3 + Slackware Linux 12.0, but the fix was simple.

I changed the Download Manager to the Browser (Built In), then downloading from YouTube worked again (still have to wait for the video to completely finish loading).

Many thanks to Maone for this great extension.

Compass.

I have been having problems for quite some time as well. After reading this post I switched from DownThemAll to FF built in and I was able to get my video.

This is the page in question in the event that it helps: http://g4tv.com/attackoftheshow/exclusi ... ation.html

Got a small question...
(didn't want to register and make a new post for just this, so i posted it here instead :D )
How do you download one specific video from sites that show multiple videos per page like failblog.org?
It just says FlashGot Media (2). there does not seem to be a way to download just one of them.

The problem with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egVDIlpA-Ag is that it's too short (454KB), while currently the size threshold to trigger FlashGot Media is set at 1MB, in order to cut the noise.
Just lower the flashgot.media.minSize about:config preference to 200000 (the value I'll give it in next release) and you should be able to download that clip.
