Since my Firefox browser updated to version 51.0.1, I immediately had an issue with youtube downloads.
The only drop down menu item not greyed out is flashgot media, and the only items listed to be downloaded
are always 2 items, and the properties of these 2 files are "Firefox HTML Document (.webm)"
Prior to my Firefox browser updating to ver. 51.0.1 the flashgot media tab listed usually 12 to 14 items
to download, including actual multimedia files.
Can some tell me how to get the original flashgot functionality again?

Could you please perform Standard Diagnostic|sd on your side?

Thanks for the reply. I did the standard diagnostic steps, including a clean reinstall
but unfortunately this issue persists. One thing I haven't done yet is reinstall with an
older firefox version because the mozilla website says that is a security risk, which I
don't know is true or not.

OK, I've found it's an e10s issue.
While I'm trying to fix it, you can work-around by flipping all your browser.tabs.remote.autostart.* about:config preferences to false.

(Note that changing those Prefs disables e10s, so assume you do want e10s, the Pref changes should only be temporary until a FlashGot fix is out.)

I'm not really sure what e10s is, so it probably is not critical for me right now

I have same problem but it resist although i turn config browser.tabs.remote.autostart into FALSE

any advice ?

problem solved

i use greas monkey + keepvid
intsal greas Monkey and keepvid extension
after that my flashgot detect 720p , 1080p, sound and Other menu

i didnt need change my config in fire fox

FlashGot shows a "hd1080" under the Dash menu.

Please note that using the above method will result in very slow downloads unless one purchases the keepvid PRO version

I did try setting browser.tabs.remote.autostart.* to False (About:Config) and that solved the issue but FireFox now loses the multiprocess funtionality (e10s)

In the meantime we wait for a fix to this issue

Is it possible to use an older verion of FireFox (pre e10s) with an older verison of FlashGot?
Where can one find archived versions of Flashgot?

I will try using an older version (FF and FG) and see where that gets me

Same issue as mentionated before unable to download in youtube. tried with about:config in firefox it only works one time then same as before. can you fix it in flashgot?
