Is uploaded.to broken?

Post by therube »

Is uploaded.to (aka ul.to, I believe) broken - when used with a download manager?

Browser Built In does work.

Download manager: Net Transport

Free version.
There a captcha (which can be filled in during the) 30 second delay.
Typical that it would send both a download link & an ad link (i.e. two links).

URL: http://uploaded.to/file/hizvhf

Perhaps something like needing a post or get or ?

Instead of expected file, you get an html (perhaps not so named) that says:

Code: Select all

File doesn't exist (deleted by Admin-Panel or wrong ID).
Note that uploaded.to also has rather lame "traffic" limits, so if you experiment too much they sock you with a 1 hour wait.
IOW, uploaded.to sucks.

Yes. (Alt+click on the "Free Download" button.)

And it downloads index.htm.

Which says (among other stuff) "File doesn't exist (deleted by Admin-Panel or wrong ID)."

Yet if I select Browser built-in (is that it?) the file downloads as expected.

(Mozilla) download manager shows the "source" as:

Code: Select all

(I'll see if I can get some livehttpheaders later - after an hour passes.)

Is it a GET one way, & a POST another?

Code: Select all

< POST /file/08hx64 HTTP/1.1

> HTTP/1.1 302 Found

Net Transport does not support POST requests.
The site probably checks whether it's a real POST.
