[solved] Google Analytics and Virustotal.com

Post by yes_noscript »

Hello all.

I found a "problem" with google analytics and https://www.virustotal.com

For every file you can give a vote, but this only works with the ssl.google-analytics.com script. And the problem is it didn't work, until i allow it but the surrogate is for make it works without allow the whole script, isn't it?

Edit: The problem was blocking the referer. All works

Yes, the surrogate should make the real script unnecessary. When it breaks, are there errors in the Browser Console (Ctrl+Shift+J)? Ignore CSS warnings, but particularly look for things like 'some variable is not defined'.

Sorry for the bad response. I have to work monday-thursday.
Okay it was my fault. Virustotal check the referer and if it is blocked then the vote didn't work. What a shame.

Sorry guys.

If you're using a referrer-blocking addon, they usually let you specify sites where the referrer will be allowed.

Yes and after i allowed the site then all works.
Just didn't know that the referer is needed to make this work, but okay.
