Is this in the works?

Yes it is in the works, but it's not quite ready because there are some roadblocks yet (e.g. an extension cannot place a status icon of its own anywhere in the chrome).

Could you not add an option to the menu as per what ABP does, which could open up a dialog?

NoScript's icon has an important function which ABP's has not, i.e. it indicates the current permission status of the page.

I agree with you. Though currently ABP does add something like an Addon Bar to the bottom of the viewport. Perhaps adding an addon bar to Fennec Native is the way to go? Though in my use case, especially with things like Sync, I wouldn't nessarily need either in my primary UI, but of course would need access to a dialog where I could toggle the permissions of various sites.

Re: Fennec Native Support?
At the moment, I'd settle for an alpha even without the icon, just because my phone doesn't support ARM7 and consequently can only run an unofficial Firefox nightly (with native interface of course), so it can't run NoScript at all .

I've got NoScript mobile 3.0a9 and checked off "Enable Remote Sync" which does not sync with my desktop or laptop NoScripts. I do have the the desktop syncs working well across my laptop and desktop, so that is getting out onto my mozilla account. Anyway let me know if you need some more information.
