Finally I am back to FF stable as with 57 beta available nsa stopped working - as expected. I`m currently utilizing ff56 release with nsa 3.5a15 + uBlock + pihole. For the time being this is fine with me. I used to utilize the betas of FF and the 57 beta is or feels somewhat more responsive and faster.

Any ideas how this will work out for FF >= 57 and noscript?

Stay with 56 until it goes in release. Then the WebExtension version should work on both mobile and desktop.

I have just (unhappily) received the Firefox (Android) update to 57.0. This appears to be the mainstream release, now. Unfortunately, Noscript 3.5a15 stopped working.

I noted here the advice that the WebExtension version should work. I tried to download using the main Download button at https://noscript.net/getit but that didn't work. I noted the advice "to open about:config and turn the extensions.legacy.enabled preference to true". I did that and tried again to download NoScript. That didn't work.

Is there anything else I need to do?

Also, is there a way of simplifying the installation of NoScript for FF Android users now?

Thanks for that info.

I was optimistically interpreting "NoScript is currently a Hybrid WebExtension, and therefore won't install on Firefox 57 pre-releases without this trick. Before Firefox 57 is released in the stable channel, a pure WebExtension NoScript will be available an you'll be automatically migrated to it." https://noscript.net/getit

Well, that was the hope, but it's still a work in progress.
