PLEASE go back to the old UI!

I made this a separate, new thread rather than just going "me too!" on the several other threads where I see people proclaiming their dislike for the shiny new UI in 10.1.3c1. As has been rightly pointed out by other users, the new UI is obtuse, buggy, and quite honestly, makes NoScript useless. I love NoScript, and have been using it for years now (I don't even remember how many years, but I think it's been at least four or maybe five now). And one of the things I loved most about it was how simple and intuitive the text menu-based UI was. I could see exactly what was going on, and temporarily or permanently allow whatever I chose. No muss, no fuss. The new version is like trying to talk a willful teenager who's going through a 'phase' into cooperating. And said teenager is a major drug addict.

I get that Mozilla f***ing up Firefox made things hard on the people who still support the add-ons they wrote years ago, but that's no reason to take it out on the users. Just saying.

That is very considerate of you doing it ON PURPOSE in the support forum.

Sure, Mozilla basically going "you can't use the menus any more" is no reason to remove the menus. It's out of revenge. Should have kept them regardless of whether you CAN keep them.

Ok, I bite.
How did you actually use no-script that isn't basically exactly back right now, plus a lot of things that you couldn't do before, other than the things that can't be done yet because Mozilla is not done with those new API?
I will concede that MAYBE I have no idea how other people used it, and considering what people already requested (which in some cases I find highly dangerous and often more abuse than utilisation...), there is a good chance that I just have a completely different perspective on what actually is "core" to the core functionality.

And how do you actually define "intuitive" because the core function always was throwing random unknown urls at you and asking you whether you want or need them. Intuitive is not really what dissecting random internet pages into individual functional parts really is. Not to mention a HEAP of terms and abbreviations that most non full-time web-developers wouldn't know.

The fact of the matter is that most people don't even remember how much of a learning curve No-script was when you first started using it, and while I agree that this is a BIG departure from before, I just can't agree that the difficulty stems from anything other than "having gotten used to the old way" and "this one is very new". And now that full URI is back in the interface with 3c1, I'm back to telling the webpages what kind of BS JS I just don't need in (granted) excessive TWO MORE CLICKS than before. And I have to manually reload... the inconvenience... On the upside I have increased power of tailoring WHAT scripts any given domain can actually run.

Locking and binning for the reasons Pansa pointed out.
