Yes the CCC are hackers but every year they show you alot of security things at the congress and in my opinion these guys are realy trustworthy.

Oh, looks like FoeBud is now called "Digitalcourage e.V." for some years - that explains why I can't find FoeBud.

Yes and yes. FoeBud is now Digitalcourage and its can be called the german equivalent of the EFF.
