Strangeness on XBox.com - "28230.1"

Post by Mad_Man_Moon »

Was just checking in on Games With Gold, and noticed (after some temp approvals) this domain(?) pop up very briefly within that:
28230.1
It's now gone, too.

I usually note that, despite Adobe, MS mostly keep their used domains in house, so I'm assuming it's harmless.

However if anyone knows more about it I can tell you now my Google Fu is not as strong as I thought it was, and would love to know more about it.

Is it only on the one site?

Is there a chance this could be a weirdly truncated IPv6 address?

That's ... ... *that's* a good shout ... cheers!

I've not seen it again, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for it (or something similar) ... As I say, almost 100% nothing to worry about, just seemed odd.

Someone reported it on Github, and got answer from Giorgio: https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/issues/90

Cheers! I was literally just about to mention it to my boyos at my new job!

Now I can pretend that I knew everything that Giorgio knows!
