Policeman 0.7
Policeman is an extension that gives you precise control over what web requests are allowed. Create rules based on domain name and type of resource being requested. It can also be used to improve privacy or block cross-site scripts.
This addon has purpose similar to RequestPolicy and NoScript. It's different from the former in that it supports rules based on content type (for example, you can allow images and styles, but not scripts and frames for some sites) and some other data (it has a mini-language for writing advanced rules). It can also be set up to act as a blacklist, minimizing interference.

Interesting idea. Since I'm already using RP, I'm not sure I'll jump on the bandwagon at this early stage, but it definitely sounds worth keeping an eye on.

Interesting. Seems it has the potential to make a good replacement for Adblock Plus as a security/privacy tool (as of version 2.6, ABP is no longer reliable enough to be either). I'll check it out later.

EDIT Scratch that, can't try it out myself - turns out it's not compatible with any browsers I can work with, and I don't have time to attempt to port it to PaleMoon or SeaMonkey
EDIT2 Well, they made me try Australis again in Bugzilla, and a clean profile doesn't have many of the issues I found before. Think I will try it out in Fx 31 ESR.

Testing v0.8 in Fx 33.0.1, this addon works well, does what it says, but feels like a steep learning curve (especially given the unexpectedly restrictive default configuration).
I personally quite like it, I think it has potential to be awesome, but it doesn't seem well suited for the "average user".

MAJOR downside is it's easily detectable by web pages (to the point that web pages could possibly add a lot of garbage on the page only for Policeman users regardless the JS enabled state of the page), so I can't recommend it to others in its current form. Not necessarily true in v 0.19pre1, see below

Unfortunately not, because I don't have a GitHub account or time to deal with another issue report atm. But if you have a GitHub account, I'll PM you a PoC (and explanation of why it works and some ways to correct that) so you can create an issue report.

(Note: the reason it's detectable is just the result of poor design choice.)

This has been fixed by version 0.19pre1, however a full fix requires non-default configuration and results in less feedback to the user.
Go to Policeman Preferences > General preferences, un-check everything under "Blocked elements handling"
