Hi forum friends,
Just a coincidence? Google changed their searchpage somewhat and Scroogle Scraper service had to throw in the towel. It cannot be used any longer.
The anonymous Google service scroogle is no more: http://www.scroogle.org/cgi-bin/nbbw.cgi
Google changed around so the simple scroogle service went "bonkers", alternatives still open to you are to use ixquick and go to http://www.googlesharing.net/ and use their Fx plug-in to anonymously search with the Google search engine, the old searchpage can still be used this way: http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=all (make this your homepage or bookmark). Just a coincidence or some action from upstream to disable the scroogling? Re: http://www.scroogle.org/malware.html
Like to hear your views/speculations on this, forum friends, because no-one will really tell the reasons why this happened?
Well the best option left is to use a browser in privacy mode....

Reminds of the times when meta-search engines were popular but many wouldn't use Google.

Scroogle's still scraping away here.
The Register confirms that it wasn't down for long. (Scroogle it - ha ha)
Maybe a little spin to get a few more donations?
