Too bad, EdgeHTML is very solid and quite good, it has a lot of potential.

This makes it sound like this decision of Microsoft could potentially affect me, as a Waterfox user? Not good if so :( I don't know any Blink-based browser that has all the functionality I need.

Blink is going to become the new IE, trust me. It has become more and more niche and people "building FOR IT" which is what they did in the old days with IE, mark my words, this will blow up like every other and Firefox being stupid enough to go along is probably the worst part of all this. In about 10 years you are going to see people having to code specifically around it and eventually it will become bloated, obsolete and unusable until someone comes up with another shiny new fad to push on everyone, sad and quite pathetic actually

EDIT: I KNOW it is an old thread but came here due to a spam and saw it and realized how I feel about it, so venting, sorry.

Blink (& if by that you mean "Chrome", Chromium... [Google]) owns the browser market (& everything else).
People already ONLY build for it.
FF is no longer in the equation (& there is nothing else).
If FF happens to work, so be it. If it does not, too bad.

No problem in venting, everyone should be concerned about this.

And yes, Mozilla dug their own grave.

Chrome is Chrome.
All (website) coding is (now) done with regard to Chrome (exclusively).
Edge is now Chrome.

And FF, well.
(The unfortunate part of all of that, is FF, with all its faults [where shall I start], is still a better browser then Chrome - at least for those who still require some semblance of actual control.)
