security of the Vivaldi browser ?

Post by morganism »

I like the FF browser for general web browsing, but i am wondering if switching to Vivaldi may be a good security option.

Security by obscurity doesn't usually work, and there will be little written about tweaks and obfuscation.

Does Vivaldi keep an SQL database of history also?

It's based on Chrome's Blink engine, so it'll be about as good as Chrome security-wise. Well, that is, assuming they've done a good job designing their side of it and didn't introduce security problems...
