[RESOLVED] SeaMonkey release cycle missing?

Post by barbaz »

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cg ... =SeaMonkey
Is there not going to be any SeaMonkey release (not even a 2.26.2) corresponding with the release of Fx 31?
Are they planning to get a working Linux build system in time to release a SeaMonkey 2.28, or are they skipping this cycle because 2.26.1 is not affected with any of the security issues fixed in Fx/Gecko 31, or...?

They're going to try to get a 2.28 out.
I think they were looking for a Beta by Monday, then the release a week after or something like that.

It's Tuesday and no sign of a 2.28 beta/release on the ftp server, any further news?
I've checked mozillaZine and eventually ended up at a Google Groups thread, but couldn't find a tracking bug or any sign of when they expect the next release...

(I'm really hoping they at least get a 2.28 beta for Mac OS X out. I can build SeaMonkey for Linux myself if I have to, but I don't think it's possible for me to set up my Mac as a build system :( )

Thanks.

I've actually been using the tinderbox macosx64 builds of 2.28 release (and self-built 2.28 release for Linux 32/64) for some time now and it's working well, so as far as I'm concerned this thread is resolved. The reason I deleted my earlier post about that was because they deleted the build from their server and hadn't put up another (until yesterday), so the link I had posted was useless.

(I was actually planning to, at least on my Mac, skip Gecko 32 for lack of a personal build machine :? )
