No Google Analytics For Firefox

Post by rjbradlow »

I Vote to ADD 'No Google Analytics For Firefox' as a new forum with it's own topics and/or a subforum of NoScript since the developer (Erik) has mentioned NoScript integration..

Erik Vold's info page on this new (2013-FEB) Firefox Add-on:
http://work.erikvold.com/addons/2013/02 ... ytics.html

Mozilla's extension page for the Add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... developers

Suggested NEW TOPIC(s):
  • Image renaming as a block workaround
  • How many other forms / iterations of this are in the wild? /and used by whom?
  • NoScript Integration progress
  • Developer Recruitment (to help Erik.)
  • Suggestions
  • ...and Other Topics relating to Image security in general ...
.. Since images and other media seem to be one of the hottest transports of malicious code injection these days.

BTW, NoScript will block *all* cross-site requests to google-analytics.com unless it's allowed to run scripts:

not whitelisted
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
