• quoting a selection (if you have something selecting when pressing the quote button only the selected texts comes into the quote tags)
• relative links or [thread]/[post] tags
• automatic link to posted quote in
• tables

Not everything is bad about phpBB though, e.g. I like the fact that it is possible to link to most other protocols (however "javascript:" and "about:" seem to be blacklisted for obvious reasons).
