Summertime?

Post by Lundholm »

It seems that the Forum is still on winter time. As of today, the rest of Europe is on summer time. It must be very dark in Italy?

Latest: I just found out that we have to do this manually. I don't know why I expected it to be done electromagically? Maybe because my own computer does? 8-)

User Control Panel | Board preferences | - > My timezone:

Though I think it needs an update from MS ;-).
For me, [ UTC -5 ] Eastern is correct, but still displays one hour off.

Crazy Daylight saving time. Everyone has to stick their hand into it till no one knows what's going on. BTW, what time is it?

No problem here. Windows and the board are showing the correct time here in Colorado. UCP settings:
My timezone: [UTC - 7] Mountain Standard Time
Summer Time/DST is in effect: Yes.

Yes, you have to set the DST manually twice a year. On some forums you lock yourself to the time of the server (plus or minus something). This is one of the very few benefits of the EU, but not on this forum. :)

Mine is set to Pacific with summertime checked and the hours are in sync. Don't know if that will change later based on the old DST or the new one. We'll see :)

I keep every forum, etc. in UTC. I'm not much on programming, but I have this unusual ability to subtract the correct number of hours in my head. :ugeek:
(actually, having a pilot's license helps). MHO. YMMV.

Not that it matters, the subject is already dead, but for the US people, the new DST dates have been implemented by most everyone, including the phpBB people, so once you pick the setting and select whether you are currently in summertime, it will continue to adjust it properly on its own. I have yet to see a problem. I just wish there was a way to get the old TVs and VCRs to use the new time changes, I still have to manually mess with those :P
