Request for more forum shortcuts

Post by barbaz »

In trying to help people with NoScript, I've noticed that there are several things I'm posting often that don't have shortcuts.
Please add shortcuts for each of the following (each thing in its own code block):

(downgrading NS)

Code: Select all

https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/noscript/versions
*or*
http://noscript.net/feed?t=a
(per-site permissions)

Code: Select all

http://noscript.net/faq#qa8_10
or wait for noscript 3

Code: Select all

lockpref file

Code: Select all

Does disabling NoScript (Tools > Add-ons Manager > NoScript > Disable > Yes, remove ALL protections) get it working?
** EDIT **

Code: Select all

about:config -> noscript.allowedMimeRegExp
** /EDIT **

Code: Select all

When it fails, do you see anything related in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
(if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)
(the wording on the part about CSS warnings might be better tweaked slightly? never been completely sure on that)

Not sure if there were more, but I'm not thinking of them now (so how worth it could shortcuts be ;) ).

TIA

Oh, and also, something like this variant on { cleantest} would be helpful to have, as it points the user to latest development build and doesn't assume that the issue is necessarily either extension conflict or corrupt profile:

Code: Select all

Please create a clean profile from scratch. Install only NoScript latest development build, leaving all the defaults.
Does the problem still exist?
If not, what if you then import your NS settings into the clean profile using the Import and Export buttons *on the very bottom* of NS Options?
If that still doesn't reproduce the problem, NoScript is not the culprit... try Standard Diagnostic (leaving NS enabled) to isolate and correct the real cause.

Let us know, thanks.
(Again, I'm not sure that exact wording is the best, or if leaving NS enabled in standard diagnostic will always apply...)

If you don't mind, I believe a promotion was long due, which incidentally allows you to edit or add any shortcut by yourself :)
