Hi there,
I would like to ask whether it would be possible that you add support for WinGet, an old and abandoned, but light and nice download manager.
http://www.freeware-guide.com/rareware/WinGet_and_IM2.html - A page where some releases of WinGet can be found.
Anyway, Flashgot is one of the best Firefox add-ons (and it works with SeaMonkey, too!), thank you for your great work.
WinGet support?

Re: WinGet support?
Perhaps something here would work, Custom Download Managers Support?would be possible that you add support for WinGet
(I've had v1.1 & 1.2 archived away on my HDD. Freeware-Guide is a great site. Visit there daily, but hadn't been to that part before. Thanks.)
Absolutely.and it works with SeaMonkey, too!
Can you confirm this, Bug 693920 - Tasbar Icons are Reordered when opening from Session Restore when FlashGot is installed?
Window Positions Change when FlashGot installed?

Re: WinGet support?
Hi there,
I tried to reproduce the above mentioned bug (Window Positions Change when FlashGot installed?) but I couldn't, I replied to its thread.
I could make wxDownload Fast work via Flashgot but I could not succeed in adding WinGet to FlashGot. Anyway this is not that important since FlashGot supports all the major modern download managers.
By the way I tried to make another download manager (the portable Arles Download Manager) work with FlashGot but I failed again.
http //www dot baraderodigital.com/features.htm - Arles Download Manager Home Page
http// bit.ly/ur2mpZ - Arles Download Manager at Softpedia
http //bit.ly/yKKdYM - Arles Download Manager at FreewareFiles
If you choose to have a look at it I would suggest that you either download it from Softpedia or from FreewareFiles since the download link provided at its Home Page re-directs to Softonic and it is wrapped with Softonic crappy downloader.
Regards,
Asen

O/T @ smaragdus:
Just passing by, but noticed the Fx 3.6.25. There have been a couple of critical security flaws patched since then.
If you prefer to stay on the F3 branch, as I do, latest supported release is Fx 3.6.27.
Please update ASAP. Your settings etc. should be preserved. Cheers.

@Tom T.
Thanks for the advice. In fact I knew there were some new security releases of the 3.6+ series but I was too lazy to update my browser which is open almost all the time. In fact the newest release is 3.6.28, available at Mozilla FTP server.

Re: WinGet support?
@therube
By the way I have discovered a nice Windows GUI for Wget that integrates and works perfectly with FlashGot- VisualWget:
http://khomsanph.net/apps/visualwget - Home Page
http://bit.ly/mmpjR - VisualWget at Softpedia
This download manager can be added to FlashGot so easely and integrates so seamlessly that (I think) it can be included in the list of the officially supported download managers.
My default download manager is Free Download Manager but I like FlashGot so much that when I have time I experiment with other (usually not so popular) download managers, which in fact I do not need.
Cheers

Re: WinGet support?
(At this point, smaragdus and I discussed the apparent inconsistencies in whether Fx 3.6.28 was regarded by Mozilla as an official release at this time, etc. Split as O/T and moved to Forum Extras > Web Tech, here. - Tom T.)
