Hi.
System: Xubuntu Linux
Flashgot 1.2.2.1
Firefox
Using FlashGet (preset) via wine
Single links still work.
Alt+highlighting multiple links now spews out error: "Download Manager not properly installed. Invalid function".
Worked without error before update.

Are you sure downgrading actually helps?sutur wrote:Worked without error before update.
Does multiple downloading work from IE?
Could you try reinstalling FlashGet?

Ah, wasn't aware I even could downgrade!
Well my apologies, the error still appears in the earliest downgrade I could find, I guess it's not Flashgot at fault.
Is there any way to wipe Flashgot's settings entirely - on Linux? I'd like to try it.

Yes, just open about:config, type "flashgot." and reset any bold entry you can see.sutur wrote:Is there any way to wipe Flashgot's settings entirely - on Linux? I'd like to try it.
However, my suspect is a corrupted FlashGet installation.

Alright well I tried that, re-installing and downgrading, to no avail.
I also wiped my wine system clean, started fresh, and it still appeared.
What exactly is the extension having trouble with? Because "invalid function" doesn't give me any information on how to resolve it.

"Invalid function" may mEan either that the FlashGet COM library is corrupted / not installed correctly, or that it API is incompatible with the interface used by FlashGot.sutur wrote:Alright well I tried that, re-installing and downgrading, to no avail.

This may mean your FlashGet version is too new, for instance. Which FlashGet version are you using (FlashGot is tested up to 3.5)?
Does IE works with it?

Re: Flashgot 1.2.2.1 + Wine + Flashget multiple links fail
I'm using Flashget version 1.9.6 with wine version 1.2.
I can't really tell you much about IE this is a Linux machine.
It might have been something to do with a wine script called winetricks. This will add windows components for use with wine. Trouble is finding out which one - if it were even the culprit.

Hey do you have any more suggestions, I re-registered all the dll's that come with flashget.
Single links work, just not alt-selecting multiples...

I still have this issue after a lot of re-installs.
