FlashGot 1.2.0.1 javascript:*http:// link resolution

FlashGot 1.2.0.1 javascript:*http:// link resolution

Looks to break a site like this (Porn/Nudity warning): http://mainstream.name/index.php?newsid=441

Previously you could click or center-click the images to have them open.
Now it simply loads "http://mainstream.name/index.php?newsid=441#".

Maybe a false alarm, or partial false alarm

Looks like I had noscript.fixLinks; false, & that is what was causing the issue.

Though, on a center-click it looks like you need to click it twice for the picture to open.
The first time resolves the URL, the second time the picture then opens.

If you hoover the picture, it will show as "http://mainstream.name/index.php?newsid=441#".
Center-click, & nothing happens, but if you move the cursor away from the thumbnail & back, you will see it has resolved the file name.
At that point, an additional center-click will open the picture as expected.

(I think that was the issue I had seen some time ago?)

<Earlier, Imageshack was also giving me a "click twice to open".
And now they are "opening" differently. Did the page change?

Alright, I'm going crazy.
Oh, & on my 2nd Profile, FlashGot Options context menu won't expand until either I move the mouse horizontally along the word 'FlashGot Options' or momentarily move the mouse away (above or below) from 'FlashGot Options' & back to it? (Ditto for NoScript Options. There may be a Preference item to control that? Tripleo for Autocopy, so it not FlashGot/NoScript specific.)

Main Profile, no picture:

Now that's interesting.

I have the wrong version of flashgot.exe installed in some of my Profiles.
(Someone else mentioned that too ...)

Now that's really interesting.

I have all kinds of different versions of flashgot.exe installed in various Profiles, yet at least some should be far more current then they are.
Unless flashgot.exe has remained unchanged, but I know that is not the case.

Aha!
Part of it is, in SeaMonkey 1.1.1x at least, even though you install "Globally", you still have to install it for each individual Profile.
DUH!
Thought it is confusing, because when you start up any Profile after a new install, it loads as if FlashGot were installed into that Profile, but in fact it has not. Further, FlashGot Options | About (partially) incorrectly shows the last installed version rather then the version that pertains to the particular flashgot.exe that exists.

From my picture, the last two Profiles, RX & the obscured one, are SeaMonkey 1.1.17.

FlashGot was installed into that obscured one.
Yet flashgot.exe was NOT updated in the Profile itself.
About shows v1.2.

20.dumy & 20.dumy2 are SeaMonkey 2 Profiles.
20.dumy, About shows v1.2.0.1.
20.dumy2, About shows v1.2.0.1.
Those flashgot.exe's are the same (MD5, though the dates differ).

Ignore the \X directories.
Ignore the \FFxx directories as anything could be installed in there.

SeaMonkey 1.1.17 install into my obscured Profile.
No problem with the ERROR (-214), that is to be expected.
Isn't an install.log just grand! (Don't you wish SeaMonkey 2 had it too!)
(Though it doesn't show any action performed as far as the .exe is concerned.)

NoScript is different, cause there is no (Profile) .exe involved, & the .jar is globally installed.
Though noscript.js is installed into the Profile /prefs/ & that too could end up being different between Profiles if you did not specifically install when "logged" into each Profile individually.

(My SeaMonkey 1.1.17 Profiles, RX & obscured are generally run from separate Win XP User Accounts.)

My imageshack issue was "fixed" after a Reset.

My 2nd Profile, FlashGot Options context menu expansion issue was "fixed" after recreating the Profile.

So now realizing what should be happening, & looking to see that it does happen, I can say it is not happening.
flashgot.exe in my main SeaMonkey 1.1.17 Profile has remained the same old, flashgot.exe of 04/30/2009 (which looks to put it between 1.1.8.6 & 1.1.8.7 - perhaps).

(Now I'll surmise that once a particular version has been installed into any Profile, that subsequent installs of the same will no longer update the flashgot.exe file in other Profiles. So if I revert back to some older version, then back to current ...)

Nope. Made no difference. Same old flashgot.exe.

Looks like the only way is to manually delete flashgot.exe.

And upon restarting the browser - without reinstalling FlashGot, it was replaced with a flashgot.exe dated 08/12/2009 (& current time).
Which it pulled from where? ... Has to be from Global / chrome / flashgot.jar - which is an (yet) OLDER version I put in (03/13/2009), so even though flashgot.exe is "dated" current it again is still actually going to be old.

Yes, this is the case. It is the flashgot.exe from my flashgot-1.1.8.xpi.

This is confusing.

(Wasn't there a time where flashgot.exe was deleted on browser close, & was put back in on re-open?)

So Luddites of the world, paying attention :D.

Could flashgot.exe have an internal version number so that if you checked Properties it would display, alleviating confusion from looking at a currently dated file that is actually a dated file?

Could flashgot.exe be installed Globally rather then in the Profile.

(This would, I believe, only be a SeaMonkey 1.1.x issue. Not affecting SeaMonkey 2 or FF2 & later.)

(Is it worth even dealing with other then just to know that the problem exists?)

So, install latest. Shutdown browser. Manually delete all (SeaMonkey 1.1.x) instances of flashgot.exe. Restart browser.
Then as each Profile is loaded, it will pull from the Global .jar file, that version of flashgot.exe into the Profile.
