Yes, it is a limitation of Net Transport.
Vert few external download manager support forcing a file name for saving, most of them just guess from the URL (which, in Youtube's case, obviously sucks).

The best luck I've had with getting useful file names from YT has been by using my own command line for IDM and Aria2c. Aria of which is too much of a hassle to configure properly.

I just send /d [URL] /f [FNAME] /s /n and FG+IDM nail it every time now.

Giorgio, using Downthemall+Flashgot to download a YT video, I always get the file name "videoplayback".
If I use keepvid.com to download the same video, Downthemall automatically renames the file to the correct name and extension. I noticed that the keepvid link has "&title=Video+Title" at the end of the url.
Can you add this to the link Flashgot passes?
