solved (user fault?!)

Post by m_c »

game: mobwars (http://apps.facebook.com/mobwars)
noscript version: 2.1.0.2rc6
firefox 3.6.16 on windows vista 32 sp 2

countdowns are not working
Some iframes are displayed as new documents?!

These error messages are displayed:
Error: fbjs_sandbox.instances.a8743457343 is undefined
sourcefile: http://apps.facebook.com/mobwars/bank/
line: 1

Error: $ is not defined
sourcefile: http://lb0.mw.production.monstergamesin ... ank/do.php
line: 1
Deactivating noscript slves the problem. I don't know how to get further debug messages.
All sites displayed in noscript icon are allowed.

This tends to be a programmer issue, not a NoScript issue. Have you considered contacting THEIR support on this first?

Does allowing any site in the "Recently blocked" submenu help?
Does "Allow scripts globally"?

Temporary allowing recently blocked sites does not solve the problem.
Allowing all scripts solves the problem.

I add the recently blocked site now to the allowed scripts but the countdowns are still not working and the iframes are still loaded to "_top" (I do not know how to explain it).

I cleared the error list (CTRL + SHIFT + J), reloaded the site (CTRL + R), and took a look for errors  no error listed, no noscript xss warning, nothing. After clicking another link I received this error:
Error: fbjs_sandbox.instances.a8743457343 is undefined
Sourcefile: http://apps.facebook.com/mobwars/
Line: 1
Current system: firefox 3.6.17 (german) on windows vista 32 sp 2, noscript 2.1.0.4 rc3.

This means that some script is blocked, but for some weird reason it doesn't get listend in the "recently blocked" menu.

Could you please turn the noscript.consoleDump about:config preference to 1, noscript.consoleLog to true and check for any [NoScript] message about blocked scripts or frames?

I created a new firefox profile and it is now working.

Obviously I missed to white list a domain because now it is working (or my firefox profile was currupt). Whatever.

It is working now.

Thanks for your support.
