Options - Import / Export Ineffectual (under specific circumstances)

Set FF to restore session on startup
Open FF, open some tabs, make one of the tabs, moz-extension://30f1e135-339c-4a0e-97ba-9b9bfc7a962e/ui/options.html#;tab-main-tabs=0 (the NoScript Options "window") & give it focus.

Quit FF

Open FF

Results:

FF opens, session is restored, focused tab is moz-extension://30f1e135-339c-4a0e-97ba-9b9bfc7a962e/ui/options.html#;tab-main-tabs=0
All as expected.

Do NOT click in the Mozilla Options window.
Instead click either the Import or the Export button.

Results:

Button "depresses", if you will, but that is the extent of it.
No expected dialogs appear.

(This might be a FF bug, not sure, or maybe not?

Code: Select all

Error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist. Messages.js:68:20
Warning: no handler for message
Object { __meta: {…}, _messageName: "collect" }
  in context moz-extension://a87163df-baf4-4867-bab6-f53100b5b914/ui/options.html Messages.js:34:5
Warning: no handler for message
Object { __meta: {…}, _messageName: "started" }

Similarly, create a new Profile.
Open FF.
FF opens to, well I'm not sure where, it doesn't actually say?
[One tab says, "Take FF with You" & some crap about FF Accounts & email & Sync. The other looks to be some "privacy" (cough) notice.]

Do NOT click into the FF window.

Drag & drop noscript-10.1.9.7rc3.xpi into the non-specified window.

Result:

Nothing.
No prompt to install NoScript, no indication that anything has happened.
[What a wonderful UX.]

Now, click into that non-specified window.

Result:

Prompt to install NoScript.)

Appears you can't actually open moz-extension://30f1e135-339c-4a0e-97ba-9b9bfc7a962e/ui/options.html#;tab-main-tabs=0 "directly"?
So you have to do it the old fashion way, from the NoScript Options icon ;-).

Oh yeah, also in these circumstances, the NoScript Options page does not display fully, properly.
