Noscript doesn't recognize URLs made from a single hostname

Post by M@yeulC »

Noscript is causing me some trouble, as I can't whitelist one of my self-hosted websites (it seems that noscript can't detect its name). The following picture illustrates the problem; please note that the domain name in the bottom right corner is a single "§":

(you might need to enlarge the screenshot to see it; here is a direct link)

The website is https, with a self-signed certificate, for which I added an exception. Its "URL" is defined as a simple hostname trough my /etc/host file.

Accessing the same website trough its other addresses (DNS or direct IPs) is not a problem.

Thank you for your hard work on NoScript! :D

As a workaround, try whitelisting the full address manually in NoScript Options.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
