Not sending screen resolution details with JS on

Post by logen » Fri Apr 06, 2018 7:28 pm

Would it be possible to have an option in the trusted tab, either to disable giving info about the screen resolution or to give false info about the screen resolution?

NoScript is a security tool, not a privacy tool. I'm not aware of any security benefit to blocking or spoofing the screen resolution.

NoScript Classic could do this using surrogate script, but that feature hasn't been ported to NoScript 10 yet.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Well, it seems to me that to isolate privacy from security leaves for a pretty butchered definition of security.
Anyway, thanks for reply.
If anyone knows about an adon that does this i'd by happy to know.

Its neither here nor there, but screen resolution CAN be used for fingerprinting.
