Development on a public repo like github
Development on a public repo like github
Hi,
i'm using noscript for quit some time, i would like to see an open tracker where the processes and fixes of noscript can be tracked and pull requests can be created and bugs can be tracked/discussed.
I would therefor propose to use a github page. This guy created one manually https://github.com/avian2/noscript but it just shows diffs between versions.
Having commits for each changed functionality would be much nicer and i think more people would join and help to fix bugs and enhance functionality.
Regards and thanks for the best FF addon

This is already planned.

Re: Development on a public repo like github
I'm not aware of any specific date or timeframe.
EDIT
https://hackademix.net/2017/11/21/noscr ... rebooting/ says "in the next few weeks".

Re: Development on a public repo like github
as version 10 still needs a lot of love, i think it would be a good idea to do this as early as possible to get the old functionality ported as soon as possiblebarbaz wrote:I'm not aware of any specific date or timeframe.

Re: Development on a public repo like github
Any update on this? Feels like this extension suffers when there is a lot of collaborative chatter amongst developers on github. This forum is like a bubble compared to the github community.

Re: Development on a public repo like github
I'm pleased to announce that the already existing but long unmaintained NoScript GitHub repository has been updated to next (not released yet) development version, and will track NoScript Quantum development from now on

Re: Development on a public repo like github
sort of off-topic: I notice you enabled the issue tracker there. Does this mean this NoScript Development forum is now only for NoScript Classic, and all NoScript 10 bug reports & RFEs should be taken to the Github repo?

It seems a good idea, even though high level discussion and unconfirmed bugs might still have a place here.barbaz wrote:sort of off-topic: I notice you enabled the issue tracker there.
