Does this mean Gecko < 51 can no longer be supported by NoScript? Or will compatibility be brought back with a later dev build?https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/noscript/versions/ wrote:Version 2.9.5rc21

Works with Firefox 51.0a2 and later, SeaMonkey 2.48 and later
[FIXED] not compatible with Gecko < 51
[FIXED] not compatible with Gecko < 51
Tried to install the newest NoScript dev build in my SeaMonkey 2.46pre (based on Firefox 49.0.2), but couldn't. The link on https://noscript.net/getit gives a 404 error, and AMO's version is incompatible -

Re: Dropping support for Gecko < 51 ?
Nope, 2.9.5 stable is meant to support 45 ESR at least, but there's some critical compatibility bug to be fixed (hopefully by tomorrow) before I can lower the min version down there.

Re: [FIXED] not compatible with Gecko < 51
So that means further version after 2.9.0.14 will not work with Pale Moon (27) ?

*** EDIT Important - See viewtopic.php?p=84908#p84908 BEFORE reading the rest of this post. ***
A quick check would indicate 2.9.5rc33 seems to work in Pale Moon 27 with only one change, and that is adding Pale Moon {8de7fcbb-c55c-4fbe-bfc5-fc555c87dbc4} to install.rdf.
Unfortunately devtools aren't part of Pale Moon 27yet, so I can't really check it out properly at this stage.

Thanks! Adding the GUID to the install.rdf is no big deal. Maybe Giorgio can add this easy fix.barbaz wrote:*** EDIT Important - See viewtopic.php?p=84908#p84908 BEFORE reading the rest of this post. ***

Re: [FIXED] not compatible with Gecko < 51
As noted, the original concerns here are resolved and have been for some time. Regarding the Pale Moon stuff, I unwittingly bit off more than I could chew and a long off-topic discussion ensued. And now, that discussion needs to be merged to one place, not scattered around the board in a way that sends mixed messages.
Therefore, moved most of the Pale Moon discussion to viewtopic.php?p=84908#p84908 and locking this thread.
