Links in overlays over blocked flash-applets aren't clicked

Post by maxmaster »

Hello.

I came across a bug with NoScript 2.6.3 and links in overlays over blocked flash-applets.

Example: http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html US/Canada ( http://i.imgur.com/26CRL.jpg )

I have set Flash-applets to be blocked even on whitelisted sites. So, if you want to click "Geforce Drivers" in the drop-down-menu, the link isn't clicked but the applet behind it is being unblocked and loaded. This also happens on others sites with similar overlays. Tried to replicate the bug with the addon FlashBlock, but the link was clicked fine, so I assume it's a bug with NoScript.

EDIT: The image shows version 2.6, but I updated to 2.6.3 and the bug still occurs.

Confirmed.
And that's likely or similarly to what I've been seeing for a long time now too ...

Here, Temporarily Allow bla bla bla Flash <OBJECT>.

Isn't plugin content always on-top of everything (in the past even sometimes chrome content if I remember correctly)? So this might be a side effect of trying to make the placeholders behave like plugin content.

It's a side effect of a change I made to make several video players, which use a HTML overlay which cover they entirely as a page-provided placeholder, to be accessible through NoScript's placeholder.
You can work-around by using shift+click to hide NoScript's placeholder.

In the OP's case, there is a placeholder, but in what I've described (& which I cannot duplicate ATM) there is not.
