reload only current active tab

Post by palme »

when the option "reload affected pages when permissions change" (translated from the german version) is selected,
all pages that include for example google.com (which is included in nearly every page) get reloaded when google is allowed for the first time,
which sometimes leads to a massive number of reloads when a lot of tabs are open

it would really be nice to get an option like
"reload only the current active tab when permissions change"

It's in about:config, and it's called 'noscript.autoReload.allTabs'

It does look as though there is some vertical room on the dialog...anyone want to submit a patch?

Nice, thanks :-).

Though ...

If Automatically reload affected pages is unchecked, shouldn't Reload the current tab only be grayed out.

I'm not sure it's indispensable: the indentation and the wording (no "Automatically", no "when...") already conveys the dependance, IMHO.
And we already have at least one precedent in the Notification tabs:

Code: Select all

[x] Show messages about blocked scripts
[x] Place messages at the bottom
     [ ] Hode after 5 seconds
(those indented, dependant options have never been grayed out).
