Re: XSS and DuckDuckGo/IMDB on FFox 57: what's going on?
Using window.name is a very unsafe behavior, since any site that you visit in the same tab can freely access anything stored there. Though NoScript hasn't previously just outright flagged it before checking its contents.

The latest NoScript update should restore this feature.

Re: NoScript Dialog Window
Unfortunately, Firefox 57+ makes the old GUI impossible. Mozilla has switched off support for the old extension system, and the new system doesn't allow that type of dialog.

Re: your filtration against canned meat, broken
- The old GUI is unfortunately just not possible, therefore Giorgio is starting from scratch.
- Several important functions (eg ABE) are just not done yet, and will likely take precedence over most GUI aspects.

NoScript is incomplete, and I suspect it will come first.

Re: 10: FF Sync Problem
As I understand it, Firefox Sync wasn't working reliably anyway. It's probably not high on the to-do list. But thanks for raising it.

Re: auto-import of old settings seemingly fail
The changes in Firefox 57 have mandated a complete rewrite of all extensions. NoScript 10 is a work in progress.
Settings such as XSS exceptions and ABE should be preserved, but it's not clear yet whether your whitelist is imported. Others seem to think not.

There is an unofficial guide from another forum user. Everything is very much in upheaval at the moment; please be patient.
You might even want to switch to Firefox 52 and stay on NoScript 5 for now.

Re: All settings gone - complete disaster
I'm not certain whether NoScript 10 is able to import your whitelist from NoScript 5, since they work very differently under the hood. Can you try downgrading to 5 and see if your whitelist is still there?
