Making a surrogate
Say, I want to make a surrogate script which replaces scripts from a certain website. If my surrogate is like: function foo () { /* do something */ } Does foo() have a global scope? Can other code on the page call foo()? Also, is it possible to make surrogates of entire frameworks (jquery, mootols e...

Re: Eventhubs blocking script blockers
Deny that site from executing any scripts at all. Or use something like Refreshblocker.

Re: Does is possible blocking location/geo?
changing option geo.enabled ... false doesn't helped. Does Browser haven't possible detection of IP to prevent? No, nothing can really prevent a site from knowing your IP address, the browser must send out the computers IP address in order to get a response from the server. It's like a letter you s...

Re: Does is possible blocking location/geo?
It's a framebuster, not a "geolocation" script. Noscript doesn't block geolocation (if scripts are allowed) but FF should notify you that a site wants to know your location. Also, most sites can know your location (without any user side scripting) since they can see the IP address you come...

Re: Remove "external filters"
Of course you can integrate your AV (if it has command line options), I've done it in the past. But its of no practical use.

Remove "external filters"
I think that NS should drop its "External filters" feature. It is hardly used; and Blitzableiter seems to be have been completely exterminated with the site only greeting visitors with a "Hallo!!" (although it actually never worked in the first place); and no other suitable softw...

Re: Google banned from crawling the forum
The issue still exists; it must be resolved ASAP. Could one of the mods, or maybe Giorgio look into the problem?
@Guardian: it can't be about robots.txt; it entirely depends upon the application to respect it. It must be phpBB's internal blacklist that's behind this.

Always allow a particular embedding?
I have NS to block Flash on all sites (regardless of trusted/untrusted). However, I want to allow http://www.jamendo.com/js/libs/jquery.j ... player.swf always. Is there any way to do this?

Re: ITVplayer UK, detecting noscript!
Their code to display the player depends on JS; so you need to enable it there.

Because the people at Mozilla thought the ESC button should be capturable by webpages, and also because "no one used it".

Re: Password Protect NoScript Settings
Is NS to be used as a parental control tool? AFAIK, it'll still show placeholdets for blocked Flash objects, so your son can still click on them to display the flash content. Please use software like K9 etc. that is meant for the purpose (of course, hoping that your son doesn't switch to Linux, run ...

Re: strange icon appearing on toolbar when scripts stop runn
Very likely to be a malware infection (and very, very unlikely to be related to NS). On which site does this occur? What other addons do you use? Please post screenshots. (Use the "Print Screen" button to take a screenshot, and then paste in a graphics editor, such as Paint and save them. U...

Please change/remove the Uniblue ads
At the present, noscript.net contains ads which promote Uniblue software. IMO, Uniblue's ads should be removed from Noscript's website, due to the fact that it appears to be a fake piece of software. It seems that Uniblue's software is not credible in any way, greatly exaggerating the number of issu...

Re: NoScript and FlashGot won't update
If that's the case, the OP might have to look into replacing W2k's kernel32.dll with that from XP or the Wine project.
