Re: Other exceptions to XSS needed? Plus 2nd Q
Could there be a super-button for "Temporarily allow all this page AND I MEAN IT" that pulls all of NS back so that we don't have to keep hitting "Temporarily allow all this page"? It's called "Scripts Globally Allowed (dangerous)". You can emulate that per-tab by twea...

Actually they're stored in prefs.js with the rest of NS settings (noscript.ABE.rulesets.* prefs).therube wrote:ABE settings, if you've had any other then defaults are within an ABE directory tree in your Profile folder.

Re: Bug in XSS pattern matching sample?
I uninstalled my anti-virus software several years ago, when I found out that NoScript (plus a firewall) did the job. I'm not sure that was a good idea. NoScript, firewall, and anti-virus software all perform very different functions, and defense-in-depth is always useful. I am really a very new ne...

Re: The exceptions not working
The problem is in the first rule that block the exception in the third rule. Try moving all your exceptions to the top of the ruleset, like this: #alpha.org whitelists Site http://piwik.alpha.org/script/piwik.js http://piwik.org/gifts/gifts.js Accept from .alpha.org #gift.org whitelist Site http://...

because NoScript is not an adblocker, so even if you didn't (temp-)allow doubleclick.net the scriptless content requested from there would still load

I cannot reproduce with a SeaMonkey build from mozilla-central revision around 16 May 2014 / comm-central revision around 18 May 2014. Try updating your Firefox Nightly to a more recent version

Re: Can't resize columns in new Google Sheets
as a temporary workaround you could try copying the value of about:config -> noscript.surrogate.ga.replacement from noscript 2.6.8.23 and putting that in for the same pref on 2.6.8.24

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do? the Accept part needs to be on its own line this maybe? #- analytics whitelists Site http://sourceforge.net/apps/piwik/supertuxkart/piwik.js Accept from this-sucks.net Deny Site https://piwik.gentoo.org Accept from .gentoo.org Site http://sourceforge.net/...

Re: Can't see images even with "allow all scripts"
Any idea how all those sites came to be 'untrusted' in the first place? Not really, no. Most likely someone other than you who doesn't know what they're doing marked the sites as Untrusted through the menu. I guess I know how to fix it if it happens again. http://noscript.net/faq#qa3_10 might be a ...

NoScript is supposed to provide a surrogate script for ga so that when ga is not Allowed, pages don't break like that.bobbybrown wrote:So, is there a chance that it's not an intented behavior and is caused by undesirable side effects of NoScript blocking g-a?
Does this also happen with NoScript 2.6.8.23?

Re: Can't see images even with "allow all scripts"
haha mozilla is free software so there's no warranty to void  Well, do you want to clear out your entire Untrusted list? If so, just right-click its entry in about:config and select "Reset". Shouldn't hurt anything, but if you're concerned about it you can first use the "Export&...

Re: Can't see images even with "allow all scripts"
You can either check about:config -> noscript.untrusted , or go to a page that calls the googleapis script and check NoScript menu -> Untrusted, where you would see Allow and Temporarily allow each-untrusted-domain.
