Re: deploy individual settings (FF 91 ESR)
But it's a pity that it is still necessary to copy the storage\*.* files to restore the checkbox "restore settings after browser-restart" Good point. I would think most if not all NoScript users would want this one synced across all their systems. Giorgio, is there a technical reason why ...

Re: NoScript will not let me Trust Sites
How are you determining that Trusted status is not fully working?

Re: deploy individual settings (FF 91 ESR)
Yes, webextensions.storage.sync.enabled was set to false, just because I don't want to use Firefox Sync and thought, the setting could establish unwanted connections. So I can set it to true without doubts? Yes. I have it set to true and my Firefox does not make any connection to Firefox Sync. Shou...

Re: One efficient keyboard shortcut
As a workaround, maybe could contrive something like viewtopic.php?p=107117#p107117 for "Set all on this page to Temp. TRUSTED" on your setup?

Re: Restore restrictions on browser restart ?
Enabling that setting means the "Disable restrictions globally (dangerous)" setting will always be un-checked on browser restart.

Re: Visited hacked site on iPhone
Found this, which helps but is partially over my head - https://help.apple.com/pdf/security/en_US/apple-platform-security-guide.pdf Based on the parts of that PDF I do understand, seems highly unlikely this iPhone would've been hacked. At least, not at the system level anyway. Sounds like maybe I co...

Re: Trusted sites keep on reverting back
I meant system cleaning software external to Firefox, e.g. CCleaner, BleachBit, etc.

Re: Trusted sites keep on reverting back
Trusted status should never revert unless you revert it yourself or specifically pick the "Temp. TRUSTED" option. Do you use any third-party "cleaning" type software? If so, make sure any cleaning of Firefox is disabled in its settings. Firefox can clean itself and use of these t...

Re: Visited hacked site on iPhone
the best thing to do is to completely reset your iPhone to factory defaults and set it up anew That's exactly the sort of thing I'm hoping is not necessary :( Setting that phone up new was a difficult multi-day process. I'm not able to put in that kind of time and effort in the foreseeable future, ...

Re: Visited hacked site on iPhone
No one knows enough either about iOS or about these redirection type website hacks to be able to help assess how likely it is that mitigations prevented the iPhone from getting infected? I did some web searching for what signs an iPhone might be hacked. Not seeing any of the signs I know how to chec...

Re: What is NoScript?
I love the idea of a safer environment to browse the web without being tracked/monitored, so I took interest in NoScript extension in Firefox. I read the What is NoScript page and still do not have a clue [...] why I would need it in addition to adblockers and DNS with adblock. If you're seeking to...

Visited hacked site on iPhone
Browsing on this iPhone browser (Orion) while my computer was busy, and one of the sites I visited seem to be hacked - it redirected me to some random .live site. Now sure how concerned to be about this - on the one hand, some mitigations were in place, but OTOH it's probably not as secure as my mai...

Re: How to troubleshoot intermittent randomly blocking allowed media?
My NoScript permissions are set to allow Soundcloud media. Hmm, maybe just something has changed that my allows for Soundcloud media are sometimes no longer sufficient? Previously, only sndcdn.com needed "media" permission for Soundcloud audio to play. Hit this issue again, and this time ...
