Re: problem with Yahoo Mail
The link for the screenshot gives me an IE error page even though I'm on SeaMonkey :?: I was thinking you could use Script Surrogates for this but when checking that before posting I couldn't get the surrogate to run at the proper time. So now I'm thinking your best bet would be to use Stylish along...

Re: problem with Yahoo Mail
NoScript might be able to do what you want even though it's not designed for that. Could you please post the HTML source of the button?

Re: RFE: Prevent whitelisting of http:
I would agree with you and dhouwn, but turning on Scripts Globally Allowed presents the user with a dialog Oh, you meant with a confirmation dialog. Yeah, that could work, but it may as well have its own dialog rather than reusing that one. If whitelisting http: wasn't a mistake, why would someone ...

Re: RFE: Prevent whitelisting of http:
I wouldn't want to turn on Scripts Globally Allowed in this situation, because without clear intent by the user, I would assume that it was a mistake, and I wouldn't want to exacerbate it. I would agree with you and dhouwn, but turning on Scripts Globally Allowed presents the user with a dialog whe...

Re: At my wits end - Flash plugin crashes
I had this same issue a year ago but it hadn't occurred to me that NoScript was the real culprit. Here's what mitigated the problem for me: 1) Updating Firefox 2) Either update Flash to the latest version, or if you're already running the latest version, downgrade Flash to the latest available versi...

Re: RFE: Prevent whitelisting of http:
+1, but wouldn't it make the most sense for NS to turn on "Allow Scripts Globally" when the user attempts to whitelist http: ? (I don't think that should happen when the user tries to whitelist https: .)

Re: [Bug] Plugin content doesn't start
i am using noscript build 2.6.7.1.. That's why you don't see the problem. This issue is specific to NoScript 2.6.8x and appears unrelated to changes in Gecko 24 despite what the OP says. While I'm here, the only change I see that might cause this behavior would be x Work-around for broken CTP notif...

Re: Allow Font@ on specific whitelist domains?
*Bump* NS 2.6.8.2rc1, SeaMonkey 2.21. I can't get this to work either. I want to permanently whitelist all PDF documents and the web font on Github but don't seem to be able to permanently allow that font. Following the example on the NoScript page, I set my noscript.allowedMimeRegExp to application...

Re: XSS on YouTube
@redwolfe_98: after reading the other posts, where people said that they were concerned about allowing XSS, i am leary of using the new built 2.6.8.1.. I think you can turn the exception off by going to about:config and setting noscript.filterXExceptions.yt_comments to false, see http://forums.infor...

Re: Browsing other sites while logged in
If it requires an attack scenario to steal my password/authentication, and since I always log in here with a browser running NoScript... I guess I'm safe then as long as I only log in from networks I know and trust that don't use unencrypted Wi-Fi.

Re: Browsing other sites while logged in
A slightly longer answer: In general, if you stay logged into one site while browsing around other sites, then yes, those other sites might be able to use your authentication to pose as you. However, there are ways for the logged-in site to defend itself against this, and you can be sure that Giorg...

Re: The menu with possible actions is garbled.
EDIT: A related problem that got resolved? http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=17063 Anyway... How can I manage the actions available (Forbid/Alllow/Allow temporarily/...) from the addons manager for a bunch of sites at the particur point? You can't. It looks like you're just usin...

Browsing other sites while logged in
How safe is it to browse other websites in the same browser while logged in to this forum? Would this allow those websites to steal my password or use my authentication to pose as me?
Currently I use a VM to keep the browser instances separate, but is that necessary?

Thanks Giorgio, I really appreciate that you are willing to listen to your users and keep NoScript on a good pathway.
