Re: FF hanging at address bar.
@GµårÐïåñ: In this case, the .JAR file is not related to Java. See, Mozilla JAR Packaging . Yeah I noticed that afterwards  , sorry, I had to jump through some hoops to get to the image and when I did, the glance missed it. I also noticed that its using a local path as well, which means its b...

Re: temporary allow on one tab affects all firefox tab and windo
If you have your setting to automatically reload affected pages, then when you globally allow, all tabs are reloaded per that setting. If you don't want to happen, then you need to uncheck that, go to NoScript Options|General tab|uncheck the automatically reload

Re: Richard "GNU" Stallman on "The JavaScript Trap"
Nan M, I think you made great points, and Tom T., I know where you are coming from also, I am on the side of the world being full of ideas, perspectives and knowledge and it comes down to what works for each individual and that doesn't make either wrong or right, just different  Fatman, I a...

(and for reassuring me that I'm not as dumb as I thought I was lol) You should never think like that, we are all here to help out each other, if we can't cut each other some slack, then what's the point, right? You wanna talk about feeling dumb, try being me and posting it and wondering why the hec...

Re: Destination- folder-
I wasn't too clear on what you meant but Giorgio already responded and I might just add that in the same place, you can also set the default save directory (second option) and select any folder and it will always download to that directory. Of course that is just what the default downloader in Firef...

Re: FF hanging at address bar.
nagan, it looks from the error image you posted that you are trying to load a jar file which is Java and that also has a very heavy resource toll and starts up pretty slow as well. So if the lag is loading java embedded files, then that is one of the reasons you are seeing a lag, its the time it tak...

Yes we are, agreedNan M wrote:Understood now. We are on the same page I believe, just for different reasons
Thus my preference in any forum is for each major category (in this case, for example, NoScript Support) to have a feed.
And, if it gets really busy, then a feed per thread for sure.

Re: Import whitelist
I wouldn't trust anyone to produce a whitelist. I would want to be able to do this so that when I install firefox and NoScript on a new computer, I don't have to put my whitelist togheter again manually... This would be a neat feature, but I wouldn't take whitelists from someone else, I'd simply wa...

Re: Notifications of replies to topics
I've got the auto-subscribe feature on and the full subscription off, so that I can be alerted to reply to support stuff I've posted to. For the rest, I rely on my newsreader, which is a lot quicker than firing up Fx. I have mine setup just like this and I apologize for not being more clear but I m...
Re: smilies!
Guardian, thanks for your reply. I don't use RequestPolicy. I'd like to, but it is not compatible with F2. I've asked the dev, and he didn't seem too interested in an F2 version. So that isn't the issue. Sorry about that, just thinking out loud. [img]http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-eatdri...

Re: Notifications of replies to topics
I think I've been getting only one, Tom. For example, I was notified of J_byt's latest post to the "Unable to use PayPal to donate" topic, but not notified of your subsequent posting. I'll let you know if I ever see what you seem to have experienced. If I may add. Some forum software are ...

Re: Notifications of replies to topics
When I logged on to email today, I had four notifications of replies to the "smilies" thread. Most fora notify you only once of replies to a topic you are watching, and advise you that you will not receive any further notifications until you have logged in and viewed the topic. This reduc...
Re: smilies!
Thanks, Alan. It does look interesting, but I would *still* like to know why I couldn't import a smiley from http://www.freesmileys.org/ using the standard BBC instructions for this forum. Also, the Smiley Xtra appears to import from one site only. If I could get the syntax correct, I would have a ...
