Re: whereby.com

https://whereby.com/example Looks like it will work by allowing whereby.com & 2 different cloudfront.net sites. (My end saw 2.) Maybe you've got some other blocker blocking the other, or ? Even the google-analytics.com could be blocking you? If nothing else, you could try (Temporarily) Allow All thi...

Re: Adding New Version Revokes Temporary Permissions

Where was I... Manually remove...

Install .39rc1 (fresh), that worked
Install .38rc2 (overtop), that worked
Install .39rc2 (overtop), that worked
Install .38rc2 (overtop), fails

Seems you can't downgrade from .39rc2 - without actually Removing .39rc2. first.

(All I can do for now. Gotta run...)

Re: Adding New Version Revokes Temporary Permissions

Well of course I know what I'm doing, & am specifically doing it, but I fail to see how that matters. I'm in a long browsing session, been everywhere, doing everything, have all kinds of Temporary Allows set. I visit a forum, say information.com, & see that there is a new .rc & I say, hey, hotkeys n...

Re: Adding New Version Revokes Temporary Permissions

Separately... Downgrades .39rc2 to .39rc1 aren't working? .39rc1 does get into /staged/ - where it persists, instead of installing after a browser restart /staged/ is empty (expected, actually expected that /staged/ would not exist) yet .39rc2 persists. (Again, all done locally.) Manually remove... ...

Re: Adding New Version Revokes Temporary Permissions

Oh, in that case, that behavior is wrong (IMHO). Why should it matter if the update is "automatic" from AMO/information or if it is manually effected from a locally installed copy of the .xpi (unless you hack is specifically dealing with only "automatic")? (I almost always download directly, once, &...

Re: Adding New Version Revokes Temporary Permissions

1. can't comment, don't know tor 2. hardly see where that applies, nothing changing only an extension got updated somewhere along your workflow 3. agree fully That said, didn't work (on my end). Specifically (Temporarily) Allowed yahoo.com & informaction.com. Downloaded .39rc2 - locally (in case tha...

Re: Need feedback about my FlashGot-like addon

Looks like the dropdown list displays 20 or so items (seemingly, max).
If you happen to open a lot of tabs & if media are detected on those tabs, quite possible that what you're looking for is no longer available from the dropdown.

See, viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25983.

Warning only appears in Private Windows.
Default (I believe, ?) is to not save permanent permissions in Private Windows.
If you set it to, the warning appears, to make you aware.

Mozilla Lays Off 250

People that is, 250 people. (Roughly 1/4 of their paid workforce.) You know, with swimming pools in their backyards. You know, like the Clampets. Ol' Jed might have been a millionaire, but I doubt they were. https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2020/08/11/changing-world-changing-mozilla/ Supposedly they'll...

Re: Should Disable Restrictions For This Tab override Untrusted?

In 5.1.9, I mark informaction.com Untrusted, not even Allow Global allows it.

IMO, in 10, Disable Tab should respect Untrusted.
If you want Allow Globally to allow an Untrusted, or remove the site from Untrusted, so be it.

Should Disable Restrictions For This Tab override Untrusted?

I'm thinking that it should not.
(But it does.)

Re: Problems with August 6th update.

The NoScript menu does not expand on first click. I've seen that too - more recently. (Haven't paid attention to 2nd or 3rd clicks or anything like that, as I don't expect much, & pretty much take what comes [or not].) Occasionally, the menu opens up as a separate window. The modal issue has been a...

Popup Media Item Dialog Is Often Too Small

Popup <Media> (allow) Item Dialog window Is Often Too Small. Many times media are served with rather long (really long) pseudo-random URL. Many times that long URL makes the Allow dialog "tight", where all the provided options aren't particularly visible. Yes, you can drag & resize the dialog window...

If a Media Item is Blocked, & you Allow the Media Item, It gets Allowed

If a Media Item is Blocked, & you Allow the Media Item (itself), It gets Allowed (set to Allowed on the Per Site Permissions List). Wouldn't it make more sense to Temporarily Allow the item rather then outright Allow it? (I guess I should say the "allowed" media item gets [permanently] set up as Cus...
