Re: TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are slated for the chopping block
Anyhow, you should be using 1.3 ;-). I have no idea the status of TLS 1.3 support in Waterfox. It's at least not enabled by default. It is in draft and while much better, has a lot of implementation to get out of the way first, 1.2 is the best and most secure hover point for now. What vulnerabiliti...

Re: TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are slated for the chopping block
About time, they have coddled everyone long enough. 1.1 as vulnerable and 1.2 is the lowest secure at the moment, so might as well pull the bandaid.

Re: Mozilla Firefox to force its own DNS?
Has anyone noticed how much and how aggressively Mozilla has been going the was of Google tracking everything and Microsoft getting tons of telemetry and doing all kind of Facebook like experiments on their users and often without notice. Most of them you can disable, but they shouldn't be on by def...

Re: Is serverless insecure? Let's find out..aws
Serverless, in the context of cloud computing, is not inherently insecure, in fact in many cases the exact opposite. However, they do NOT secure your code or YOUR actions, that's your portion under the "Shared Responsibility Model" and that means that flaws in your code, are your fault and...

Re: Just How Freakin Pitiful Are WebEx aka FlashGot
It is one of the most ridiculously pathetic systems I have seen in a long time, there are massively needed and useful API that simply don't exist and yet they were in such a rush to push it out that they have now had 3 releases since that are still pathetically lacking. If they focused more on getti...

Re: Huge Number of Console Messages
As @therube said, I wouldn't put anything past it, but I can't do much about it unfortunately at the moment. But I would be hard pressed to see how that would somehow screw with the internals of Firefox.BluesFanUK wrote:Could this be something to do with Windows 10 update?

Re: Huge Number of Console Messages
Yes, and it has always been and working just fine, but suddenly it stopped working, out of the blue and for no reason that I can make sense of. And unfortunately no, disabling it doesn't change anything.

No worried, your explanation was more thorough, I was simply trying to simplify a very complex principle, that's all. Well donebarbaz wrote:EDIT oops, GµårÐïåñ beat me to it

Re: ABE entry: how to write?
Over simplified way of thinking about it would be "limiting the scope" or "boxing it in".JLJ wrote:Question: that final Sandbox is not something I recall from the examples I've seen -- is there a basic explanation of its function?

It has been discussed and we see no effect on the site. 1. Users can post anonymously and we track nothing more than basic cookies that runs the forum software. 2. Those who sign up and have an account, it is only to access this forum and used nowhere else already. 3. Being a support forum, any and ...

Unfortunately for more than a week now, it has simply stopped working altogether and the menu items are greyed out and this error appears in the console on every single page you visit: TypeError: invalid 'in' operand w flashgotService.js:1383:5 getMedia jar:file:///extensions/%7B19503e42-ca3c-4c27-b...

Thank you for clarifying the nomenclature, I had misunderstood that as a system level host file, apologies.gorhill wrote:The pane is named "Hosts files". The textbox is to import external hosts files through their URL address.

Re: µMatrix thread
No, I don't mean the system host file, that is excessively limiting and I highly advise against that unless you are blocking well know, and long lived malware domains. Anything else, should be handled within the browser layer. So you have more control over tweaking it and without potentially breakin...

Re: µMatrix thread
Nope, the redirect doesn't stop, even after agreeing to the new ToU. Goes by very quickly, but, with the scope greenlit, seeing something like TLS handshake with guce.advertising.com, so guessing that it needs to verify that the ToU have been accepted on each login. Well that is indeed horribly dum...
