Re: Add a script manager feature
Agree with Guardian. I can't speak for all browsers, but FireFox already has a small subset of global JavaScript functions you can enable/disable. On a global scale, I think the browser is the correct place for this functionality. However, if NoScript supported a full policy/group model, you could c...

Re: Feature-Request: Forbid / Check / Allow
In order not to further clutter the menu (think of an extra item x each forbidden script source on a page with 7 or more of them), I've planned a single "Show sites info..." menu item opening a page which summarizes info from different sources (WHOIS, search engines, WOT) about the sites ...

Re: NoScript prevents XML?
Finally got 1.9.2.8 and Forbid XSLT properly inhibits http://worldofwarcraft.com now. Thanks for the fix!

Re: [Improvement] Status Bar Label
Did you consider relying on the status bar icon alone? It conveys all the information of the label except the numbers, but in the rare cases when you really want them, you just need to hover the icon and the tooltip box will tell you. Actually, I didn't think of that. ... I'll try that and s...

[Improvement] Status Bar Label
Per this discussion , I'm using NoScript to categorize sites into two pools: trusted/whitelist/I-know-it's-good and untrusted/everything-else. The down side to this method is that almost every web site (except the few I put into the whitelist) notifies me of its forbidden scripts. Getting notificati...

Re: Uncached rottentomatoes.com Crashes FireFox 3
Appreciate the testing. And good points on additional info -- I'll add that next time.
But, for this problem it seems moot. I can't reproduce the crash now. This is great for NoScript, but leaves me wondering what the heck caused the crash.
Thanks everyone,

Re: NoScript and Firebug interference
I use FireFox 3 with both NoScript and FireBug installed. I use FireBug for debugging my own web development (which is obviously on trusted sites), but on untrusted sites, I often use the Inspect->HTML and the CSS/DOM tabs to see how a site did something. However, I can't say I have a use case for r...

Uncached rottentomatoes.com Crashes FireFox 3
Heading over to http://www.rottentomatoes.com to see the buzz on X-men Origins: Wolverine, I was greeted by a lovely FireFox 3.0.10 crash before anything on the site rendered. After some debugging, it looks like my NoScript 1.9.2.6 is at least partially to blame. Here's what I found out: 1) I don't ...

Re: Richard "GNU" Stallman on "The JavaScript Trap"
Most of what Stallman proposes (IMHO) is either impractical (it's nigh folly to attempt on-the-fly replacement of "nontrivial non-free" JavaScript with an open/free alternative) or not particularly useful (adding @source and @license comments will be compressed out to reduce space). Howeve...

Re: NoScript prevents XML?
It looks like Giorgio fixed the bug he mentioned above in the 1.9.2.3 release , however, now Forbid XSLT is being ignored ! I'm using NoScript 1.9.2.6 in FireFox 3.0.10 with NoScript Options | Advanced | Untrusted | Forbid XSLT enabled while http://worldofwarcraft.com is NOT in my Whitelist. Using F...
