I think that would be perfect!Giorgio Maone wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 11:20 am I'm rather thinking of making it more obvious (e.g. by disabling all the per-site permissions UI in the popup as well, when it's checked), and maybe adding a confirmation prompt with the option to make it either session-temporary or permanent.

Re: NoScript not working in Firefox - leaving me vulnerable
There are so many cases where people accidentally set the "Disable restrictions globally (dangerous)" option. What's the reason for not making it temporary?

Re: Edgium becoming adware?
I have begun to think about Edge as a usable browser - until this "buy now, pay later" nonsense. And now there are these transparent ads. Not long ago I would have been surprised, if anyone told me, I'd think of a Microsoft browser in a positive way. Maybe I have been misled by the very go...

Re: Disable restrictions globally showes them incorrectly
I agree that this should be more visible. Also, I think that this setting should not be permanent, but should be deactivated when the browser is closed.

Re: NoScript is loosing settings
Do you use software like CCleaner? If yes, does the profile persist, if you deactivate the cleaning of the Firefox profile?

Re: 11.2.11 - Certain sites produce Access Denied Page
vans.co.uk works for me even with the default settings of NoScript, dominos.co.uk does not work even with NoScript disabled. Therefore, I assume that NoScript may not be the problem.
What happens, if you disable NoScript?

Do you encounter the problem also with the demo recaptcha? https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api2/demo
Does the problem persist with gstatic.com set to TRUSTED?

Re: off-topic split from t=26428
Reason for the split: the OP wanted to prevent remote CSS files from being downloaded/used, not custom styling being applied to web pages.

Re: block css
No, there is just this checkbox which blocks some CSS:
"unrestricted CSS" - when disabled for a site, NoScript mitigates pure-CSS exploits (e.g. CSS PP0) on pages served by that site

Re: Napalm FTP Indexer ads error chrome
You are using a very, very old and for quite a long time unsupported operating system and browser, which is a very high security issue for you and others. Is there a reason for not upgrading? It's a really bad idea to go online with an old and insecure configuration like that.

Re: Will NoScript work with Microsoft Edge or is it only for use with Firefox?
NoScript works for Chromium browsers, too, and therefore works for the Chromium version of Edge. It is available here. Unfortunately, the Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) protection is not available for Chromium browsers.

Re: Just installed noscript - where's the settings?
Have you set the option "Never remember history" (or "Always use private browsing mode", respectively)? If this is the case, have you allowed NoScript to "Run in Private Windows" (about:addons -> there is a checkbox named that way, if you click at NoScript)?

AFAIK, this has been solved in version 1.4.2. In the meantime, gorhill has published version 1.4.4, which is available at AMO.
