off-topic split from t=26428
Also, this isn't quite filtering, per se, but if you're running FireFox you can also enforce your own userContent.css which will allow you to (essentially) change what CSS loads on the site by specifically addressing particular entries. I would imagine that it might be possible to also address more,...

Re: Just Lost All Recent Additions To My List
Dang it ... it's weird that it happened as soon as the other browser loaded in with Sync, was all. If this happens again, I'm just going to stop browsing the internet, I think ;-) Firefox keeps timestamps of the browser.storage.sync keys, and syncs to the most recent version as you suggest. Therefor...

Re: Just Lost All Recent Additions To My List
Cheers, Georgio. :-) Yeah ... I use nightly on droid, too, but again, I'm sure it doesn't sync. Still, it'll be a darned sight more up to date than this. What's the "time hierarchy" of what permissions (white/black lists) are kept? Because surely I'd want the newest ones kept, no? Why has ...

Just Lost All Recent Additions To My List
Have there been any issues? Is there some way that I can manage an auto export from NS, because this is tiring as all far ... Anyway, is there a way to revert to the previous set? This *may* have coincided with an old browser being logged into ffSync, but (and my memory is THE WORST) I thought sync ...

Re: NoScript on FF mobile permanently whitelist temporary scripts.
Hrm ... Well ... Hope you figure it out. :( Have you considered trying a different version of FF (beta, nightly, or TOR), and test this functionality (enabled in private, obvs) ... first of all with only NS installed. then with another extension uninstall that, try another, etc then try bundling the...

Re: NoScript on FF mobile permanently whitelist temporary scripts.
I can test this now ... These tests aren't here to disprove, rather to assist with any troubleshooting done on this issue. Only done it cos I'm bored in bed ;-) and didn't want it to happen to me! This is all on my setup, so ymmv, here is said setup: Galaxy Tab S4 Android 9 noscript 11.1.7 HTTPS eve...

Re: Import / Export noscript_data.txt Management ( and XSS )
Cheers, @barbaz, much obliged! Have been doing a bit more playing around (I found another export, and it's huge, so am building a solid reference import/export, hence my quietness) and found that even though there's no way to comment in JSON (assumed that is the language) we can basically make up si...

Feature Request: Tags or "User Categories"
Hopefully this isn't a difficult one to describe, essentially, I'd like to organise my list with tags. Essentially another text column on the end for tags (I would guess there's issues with formatting and special characters) so that I can search for all sites that are "shopping" sites, or ...

Re: NoScript problem
There was a recent update to noscript that changed private browsing functionality to only allow temporary options. There should be a tick box (I think) in the options for the latest stable version that allows you to disable this functionality, but heed the warning that it provides regarding your foo...

Re: Import / Export noscript_data.txt Management ( and XSS )
This might require a separate thread, but I'd view it as working through this one. If you plop a load of URLs into the 'policy' section's 'sites' sub-section of the file, in the same format as all the others, it creates oddities in the trusted sites lists, showing the "true" values of some...

Import / Export noscript_data.txt Management ( and XSS )
Hi, I'm currently struggling with the issue of remembered trusted/untrusted sites ( over here https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25927&p=102272#p102165 ), and as a part of that I've bodged together a noscript_data.txt file from different sources. However there is a lot of st...

Re: Having noscript remember trusted sites
TL:DR - I'm not going to backup my NS every time I start/stop the browser ... that's actual insanity. 8-) :P Going Longer: To start ... this isn't an issue with long term remembrance, the initial tests I did showed that it wasn't remembering sites that were added in a normal window (not private). S...

Re: Having noscript remember trusted sites
Ugh, Firefox standard has lost the entire set of trusted/untrusted sites... Win10 Desktop Standard Base Updated to latest FF ( 77.0.1 ) and stable NS ( 11.0.30 ) on the WDSB and all the sites are gone again. It *is* remembering new additions, though, as previously mentioned. The flags are still pres...

Re: Having noscript remember trusted sites
So mobile (droid) looks to be working OK in sync nightly (old) and unsync'd normie ff (current) ... but in checking that I noted that the export files have changed how they look/are made up. I'm aware that both look like valid (what is that, json?) code ... more just the difference in the entities w...
