block b.scorecardresearch.com?
(Mac OSX 10.6.4) I was watching the Chilean rescue live in a video link to MSNBC provided by the NYTimes here http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/10/12/latest-updates-on-the-rescue-of-the-chilean-miners/?hp As the video feed was loading, I noticed the following: "transferring data from b.scor...

Re: New mouse hover feature on bottom NS icon
Giorgio, please excuse my lazy reading. I just had a more careful look at the Release Notes for the latest update, and it was clearly written that the mouse hover feature could easily be toggled. Thanks again.

New mouse hover feature on bottom NS icon
Giorgio, thanks for all the great work and I don't mean to be ungrateful, but I'm finding this new feature kind of annoying. I guess it's probably meant to add convenience, but in fact it's a bit like trying to catch a slippery fish. The mouse pointer has to be perfectly aligned moving up from the i...

Re: Question re. NoScript blocked a <meta> redirection....
Thanks. What is interesting is that when I'm reading the NYTimes (without JS enabled) and I get that message, I can see if I switch to another browser -- I have AdBlock Plus on FF -- that it would lead to an advertisement.

Question re. NoScript blocked a <meta> redirection....
I'm not certain when to "follow a redirection" or not. Is there any way to know beforehand if a redirection may be malicious or simply unwanted? If I don't "follow" the redirection, the page simply hangs where it is and so, if I want the desired content, I'm usually forced to fol...

Re: Flashload.net and NoScript
I have the feeling the problem with downloading may be nothing related to NS, or that applet, and that it simply won't work with the way YouTube is now configured. Whats probably going on is that it needs to be updated. It used to work simply by allowing the main site URL. But this was, maybe, four ...

Re: Flashload.net and NoScript
Does the site work if you disable NoScript from Tools|Add-ons ? (notice that the applet should ask you before obtaining system privileges) I may try that, but after what you said about the applet trying to obtain system privileges (with a big question mark on "... should ask you before..."...

Re: Flashload.net and NoScript
Thanks Giorgio, I notice they're using a wrongly signed Java applet which tries to obtain system privileges: that's probably the culprit (it's not even sure it is compatible with Mac OS' Java). I didn't have Java enabled in FF at the time* but I played with temporarily allowing that Java applet when...

Flashload.net and NoScript
Flashload is allowed, but I'm getting the message on the home page to enable JS. I've never seen this before, but the last time I used Flashload was many NoScript updates ago and with Leopard, not Snow (10.6.4.) The only other scripts on that page are from google-analytics and googlesyndication and ...

Re: Mozilla dropping Tiger suport / implications for NoScript?
Hi Georgio, good to know NoScript will still be around for Tiger users when this happens. Thanks for all the good work. NoScript is really a must. Would you care to offer an opinion about just how unsafe an unsupported Firefox will be? Will NoScript take up most of the slack and keep Firefox, even u...

Mozilla dropping Tiger suport / implications for NoScript?
Very bad news this. I'm wondering if Tiger users will be still be able to count on NoScript when this happens. At least, this will mean some measure of security. Will NoScript in future updated iterations remain compatible or does this doom Noscript as well? Hopefully.... http://arstechnica.com/appl...
