Re: Noscript puts FF in a reload loop

therube wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 8:03 pm It actually looks to be the break in this line that is doing it (not necessarily 1024 spaces):
Yes indeed. I do not get the reload loop without the break either.

Re: Noscript puts FF in a reload loop

After preventing the Web Console to clear the logs I can see the following entries again and again: sendSyncMessage suspend #0/1 SyncMessage.js:231:19 sendSyncMessage finalizing SyncMessage.js:253:19 In a fresh profile with 11.0.37 I get this: sendSyncMessage suspend #0/1 SyncMessage.js:230:19 sendS...

Re: Noscript puts FF in a reload loop

Giorgio Maone wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 7:30 pm @musonius: do you mean you get reload loops as well?
Yes. I saved the HTML code as it is without changing anything, created (and started) a new profile and installed the current dev version NoScript (11.0.39rc5). When I opened the file per drag and drop I got the reload loops immediately.

Re: Noscript puts FF in a reload loop

I've tried your sample, and it doesn't loop for me either. One more reason to look for a configuration-specific trigger. I don't know if it helps you, but I get a lot of errors in the Browser Console: Error: TelemetryStopwatch: key "WEBEXT_CONTENT_SCRIPT_INJECTION_MS" was already initiali...

Giorgio Maone wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 7:15 pm Also, did you try on a clean profile?
I did. Firefox 79 (Windows 10) with the latest dev version of NoScript. I could reproduce the problem with everything set to defaults.

v 11.0.36rc1
It works again! Thank you! 👍

I've also tested the new feature of version 11.0.35 "Avoid unnecessary reloads on temporary permissions revocation" and it still works as expected.

Re: Temporary permissions are not revoked on the new tab page

What do you have new tab set to? Is new tab a "special" page (where, by default, no extensions work)? It is the start page of Firefox, where only the search box is activated. It is not possible to trust or mistrust anything there, of course, but it has been possible so far to revoke all t...

Temporary permissions are not revoked on the new tab page

Temporary permissions are not revoked on the new tab page. I am using NoScript 11.0.35 and Firefox 79 (with a fresh profile). This still worked with NoScript 11.0.34. 1. Just visit a page or two and temporarily trust them. 2. Open a new tab and try to revoke temporary permissions. 3. Nothing happens...

11.0.35rc2 - strange cyan box which is ugly and hurts the eyes

The three dots in front of a domain (untrusted or HTTP) are backed by a cyan background that is ugly and hurts the eyes. This cyan box has been there since version 11.0.35rc2 (Firefox 79): https://we.tl/t-gorZrVxEBy I don't think that box is there on purpose.

Re: Enabling Do Not Track actions in new NoScript versions

According to my understanding, the DNT feature of NoScript Classic simply did what the setting of Firefox does today and therefore there is no need to implement it in NoScript.

Re: Having noscript remember trusted sites

None of this is being said aggressively, but I am also looking to be sure that if I import a more full list (likely years out of date now 😩) can I be sure that the new list won't disappear at some point, too? I don't want to play down your problem, but not backing up important data regularly (and a...

Re: CNAME Uncloaking

Thanks for your insightful answer! Good point, optional CNAME uncloaking would be useful as purely informational for the user , to help user decide what to allow and not. Especially if the Full Domains option gets re-introduced. I would not activate it as default because it makes things too complica...
