Mozilla dropping Tiger suport / implications for NoScript?
Very bad news this. I'm wondering if Tiger users will be still be able to count on NoScript when this happens. At least, this will mean some measure of security. Will NoScript in future updated iterations remain compatible or does this doom Noscript as well? Hopefully.... http://arstechnica.com/appl...

Here is the page from which to donate. (I've already deleted my history from then, so I don't know exactly which URL I donated on, and they may have changed it.) https://donate.pih.org/page/contribute/haiti_earthquake?source=earthquake&subsource=standwithhaiti They have acknowledged receipt of m...

Using HTTPS/Meaning of Firefox warning?
Hi, I put this up on the Firefox board a while ago and haven't gotten a response. In any case, you people are pretty well informed about this stuff, and maybe this is where it belongs. I was trying to send a contribution for Haiti relief. I entered all my credit card information on an https page wit...

Re: Not getting Flash placeholder/ can't view Flash on this page
Thanks Alan,
It was AdBlock Plus. Disabling ABP on that page only (plus allowing Brightcove on the Home page) fixed it. I often forget about the Adblock when this kind of thing comes up.

Not getting Flash placeholder/ can't view Flash on this page
For http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/photo/2009-year-in-pictures/ And I'm unable to view the Flash content on this page.I've even temporarily "allowed all this page." Nothing happens. I do see the Flash placeholder on the home page of the Times and can view Flash content there. Just no...

Re: Clearing anti-XSS whitelist entries?
OK thanks. They're default entries. I will leave them, but just in case something gets whitelisted I want to clear in the future, how do I do that? When I highlight them I don't see any delete option in NS itself, and the Firefox Menubar with Edit/Delete isn't available.

Clearing anti-XSS whitelist entries?
I see a number of these. There are four from Google, Google Translate, Yahooo, and Wikipedia. Are they there by default? If so, what is their purpose? If they are not there by default, is there a simple way to delete them? I don't remember whitelisting these sites.

Re: Flash vulnerabiliity
A little clarification, please. Does that then mean one should simply not load any Flash? Isn't this what "Apply these restrictions to trusted sites" effectively accomplishes; it disables Flash from loading until the placeholder is clicked. Are you saying that once you load any Flash, you'...

Flash vulnerabiliity
Hackers can exploit a flaw in Adobe's Flash to compromise nearly every Web site that allows users to upload content, including Google's Gmail, then launch silent attacks on visitors to those sites, security researchers said today. http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9140768/Flash_flaw_puts_most_...

No dice then. It's gone. Anyway, thanks to NoScript it didn't get through, whatever it was.Giorgio Maone wrote:It might be a false positive or a real issue.kukla wrote:Any idea exactly what NS may have been preventing by filtering this?
No way to tell it without looking at the actual message.

Re: NS filtered XSS attempt from securesuite.net
Any idea exactly what NS may have been preventing by filtering this? Phishing, data theft? Are all the XSS attempts that NS catches exploits of one kind or another? Do any have any legitimate purposes? Heard of this one? Thanks.
