Re: a few partially allowed icon issues

I find it useful exactly the way it is Blocked objects are usually represented by placeholders, the red overlay makes it seem like there are blocked scripts as well. If the overlay indicated that there were no blocked scripts but only objects with a different color, that would be useful info and do...

a few partially allowed icon issues

It seems that the intended behavior for a page with scripts allowed but some blocked objects is to show the partially allowed icon with a small red forbidden sign overlay on the bottom right. Is that correct? I think it would be helpful if the icon differentiated the blocked objects from scripts par...

Re: Latest NoScript version (1.9.2) breaks Adblock Plus

I'm unlocking this topic for transparence sake. In that spirit, can you please respond to the allegations that have been made, in precise technical language. Something more than "countermeasures" were added, proved to be "overzealous" and removed. 1) Did you, in NS 1.9.2 (releas...

Re: Inaccurate Mixed Status Icon

I noticed that on a page that I allowed fully, the icons in the statusbar reads http://software.informaction.com/data/noscript/prt16.png and the status says Scripts partially allowed but the fact is that when you pull the menu, it shows everything allowed, so what happened in the last release to ca...

If you are referring to the blocking of ALL 3rd party requests to untrusted or optionally unknown (non white-listed) domains, then no.

Re: Feature Request: block all 3rd party requests to untrusted

@ al9_x Maybe I did not understand your proposal. Are we talking about blocking ⋅  any request (including top document requests) toward untrusted (i.e. marked as untrusted , i.e. blacklisted) sites? ⋅ any sub request toward untrusted (i.e. marked as untrusted , i.e. blacklisted)...

Re: Feature Request: block all 3rd party requests to untrusted

So would something like this only apply to sites specifically "untrusted" or would it apply to any site not Allowed (i.e., default deny). Only untrusted, obviously. We're talking about blocking the whole document, doing it by default defeats NoScript's purpose. What do you mean by "b...

Feature Request: block all 3rd party requests to untrusted

Giorgio, I asked about this on the old forum but I don't think you responded, what do you think? If a domain is untrusted there is no reason to give them anything or get and parse anything from them. A harsher setting could even block all 3rd party requests that haven't been white listed. I would tr...

huge Z-stacked iframe placeholders on amazon.com

Giorgio, With everything on amazon whitelisted and iframes blocked for trusted, three Z stacked (on top of each other) iframe placeholders covering the whole visible area appear (on home page or any product page). It takes three shift clicks to dismiss them. Is it possible you are miscalculating the...
