Re: NoScript menu rendering issue ever since FF18

A problem that can't be reproduced right away through a set of actions is problematic. Let's it's a Firefox issue, if it was easily reproducible you could locate what change between Firefox 17 and 18 did this (go to https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ for the current changes). Does disabling har...

Unblocking objects does not cause a reload, no matter whether you allow it through the menu or by clicking the placeholder.

youtu.be is the short link service domain of Youtube (official), one way to get a link for it is to click on share below a video.

Re: spurious blocked object

No, the spurious placeholder appears for me even without allowing the real one. For me it's just listed in the blocked objects menu, the only placeholder I see points towards http://www.hbo.com/bin/SiteMain.swf#!flashvars#configDir=/bin/web/assets/config/prod/&configDirNoEnv=/config/ (in the me...

Re: Value of using IP addresses for sensitive sites?

All the stuff that is matched using the hostname? Special handling of certain sites by Firefox (e.g. bug 782453 ) and NoScript that then might not be used. The IP of the server you have might not be the best one for when you are at a different location. You might save an IP of a server that at a dif...

Re: Stop browser leak

This has nothing to do with where NoScript reaches.
On another note, AFAIK Firefox on Windows tries to combat some DLL injections (not all methods can be), esp. by code that does not have certain flags set (ASLR) or code that is known to cause Firefox to crash.

With userContent.css you might be able to override all these annoying stuff I guess, theoretically might break some sites though.

Re: Links in overlays over blocked flash-applets aren't clic

Isn't plugin content always on-top of everything (in the past even sometimes chrome content if I remember correctly)? So this might be a side effect of trying to make the placeholders behave like plugin content.

Re: Anyone dropped NoScript?

Cause DNS requests in general to become more expensive and less parallelizable, maybe sites will then think twice before including content from many different domains. On a serious note, how often you surf to JS-heavy new sites? I myself not very often and once I have figured out what I need to allo...
