Re: google search results displaying in mobile mode with Noscript, despite being on desktop

So as I assumed - general.useragent.override.youtube.com is just to get the old youtube design - not necessary to fix the search pages.

And the general.useragent.override is necessary only if you have other problems like outdated browser.

in my case the youtube string was needed.
Is that for some specific search?

Re: google search results displaying in mobile mode with Noscript, despite being on desktop

Did you try clearing cache, cookies and history? Though the youtube string is only necessary if you want to have older youtube design. And the general.useragent.override should not be necessary for anything. Try just setting general.useragent.override.google.com or even more specifically general.use...

Re: google search results displaying in mobile mode with Noscript, despite being on desktop

It's not a Noscript issue - happens also if Noscript is not installed but javascript is otherwise disabled. Looks like Google made some changes and I don't like them either. Currently the only way I can come up with to get back to the old design is to use a old enough user agent string. But I would ...

Re: Some sites require some permissions in default preset to work even if same permissions are granted by trusted preset

Both example pages fetch the table content from www.googleapis.com. For the fetching to work, that domain needs to have fetch enabled.

Re: media.mediasource.enabled = false breaks NoScript

Unfortunately there is not much you can do with that solution unless you want to fork and patch NoScript yourself.

Let's hope Giorgio notices this soon and makes an official patch.

Re: Request: PDF support

PDF.js (Firefox's built-in PDF reader) does not execute the embedded javascript ( https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issue ... -282408504 ).

NoScript offers no settings for PDF handling as Firefox itself has plenty of options for that.

Re: GMX Email Web Login

Setting resistFingerprinting to true, tracking protection to strictest or even using private browsing made no difference on gmx.com - still works.

Re: GMX Email Web Login

I do get "Your browser is not supported" error if some of the script sources (like uicdn.com) is not allowed, but after enabling those things work as expected.

However, I can only test on the international version of GMX (gmx.com) but not the German only gmx.net. Which one are you using?

Re: media.mediasource.enabled = false breaks NoScript

OK, lets forget I suggested the above. Sure, it fixes the page, but that's because it breaks NoScript... Already forgotten? Good. Revisiting the problem, it appears that the page failure is due to NS causing a exception as it fails to take into account that MediaSource might not be available....

Very nice trick indeed. Definitely better than the alternatives. And seems to work well.

Re: BUG: NS10 interferes with accessibility.blockautorefresh

Did you consider the possibility of sending the redirect info to the background, reloading the page and then writing the info to the header in onHeadersReceived? Though I'm somewhat conflicted if this is any better than the alternatives.

Re: media.mediasource.enabled = false breaks NoScript

Why do you want to set media.mediasource.enabled to false? Because saving videos is simpler ;) media.js:12 patch(window.URL.prototype, "createObjectURL", function(o, ...args) { let url = unpatched.get(window.URL.prototype).createObjectURL.call(this, o, ...args); if (o instanceof MediaSource) { let ...
